FOREX DICTIONARY

 

daytrader - trader who usually doesn't keep position over night, it doesn't mean that trades are made every single day


bull market (bullish) - market in uptrend


bear market (bearish) - market in downtrend


long (position), also 'longs' - to buy something, to assume increase


short (position), also 'shorts' - to sell something, to assume drop


pip - a single point price change, usually fourth place after the point in the price e.g. 1.3523


stop - stop loss


time frame - 15 minute time frame means time chart where one candle is created in 15 minutes


quadruple witching - a day on which contracts for stock index futures, stock index options, stock options and single stock futures (SSF) all expire


heat - how big risk are we taking in our trade


range - when the market doesn't move either in downtrend or uptrend for some time


set up - particular environment for a trade


metatrader 4 - universal trading platform
